About

Oh hello there.
I work in Toronto where I lead a team of fine Flash developers over at Grip Ltd. Well… I’d rather say Developers-That-Happen-To-Code-in-AS3, but that makes an awkward job title.
Anyways.
At Grip we do work for clients like Honda, Acura, most the Budweiser brands (and most of the beer brands under the Labatt/In-Bev umbrella), Expedia too… Before that, I worked with the nice people at henderson bas for clients like Nike, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Virgin, Toyota/Lexus… Oh, and before moving to Canada in 2004, I spent some time at de.MO in NY were I had a total blast (please check their work, these lads are just amazing). Oh, and even before that I was in France, my home country. Freelancing. For agencies mostly in the US. I had the chance to work people like Hello Design. I was lead developer on the first Kill-Bill site with Dickon Sire. Oh gosh I feel old now. But but, enough of these credentials, this isn’t a job interview after all!

If you’ve read that boring “about” post that far, you figured I’m an old-school Flash dev that survived the burst of the bubble, started Flash when gotoAndStop() was ruling, that even coded in awful Lingo for chrissake! So why this blog thing? Well, client work is just one part of it. Client work is not always *that* fun. Over the years I accumulated these little experiments, snippets and such. Some did make into client work. Some did not, but I alway had fun working on these. I never took the time to share. And one morning getting up I felt selfish. Enough of that, let’s share the fun bits. Let’s get much finer devs rip apart the old man’s little toys, he may learn a couple things along the way.
